About This Album

The list of artists is at first glance puzzling. From John Paul Jones one half of Led Zeppelin’s legendary rhythm section to the ethereal tones of the American Laraaji, who still holds a unique position in the performance of the zither and kalimba. From the English pastoralist Roger Eno to two Russians writing during the chaotic political changes in the Soviet Union - to Canadian Michael Brook, producer and master technician. And of course, Brian Eno, Harold Budd and Daniel Lanois, three of the most respected artists in their respective fields. Yet despite their diversity all these artists held a common curiosity in pushing the boundaries of music and music's role in films.

And an extra track by Brian Eno from the BBC programme 'Hammerhead', a new track from Roger Eno, new artwork (clikc on image) and new sequencing by Marconi Union
